Today, Bitcoin broke through $50,000 for the first time since early September.
The world’s leading cryptocurrency has rallied in recent days. Bitcoin has seen its price rise from a 30-day low of $39,600 on September 20 to $50,200 as of 2 PM Eastern Time on October 10, 2021.
Bitcoin has had a bumpy road this year. It hit an all-time high of $63,729.5 in April 2021. That high coincided with Coinbase‘s much-hyped IPO.
Since then it fell as low as $28,800 on June 21. The cryptocurrency failed to gain steam until the middle of July. It rallied to just shy of $53,000 on September 6.
Bitcoin is up 1.92 percent over the previous 24-hour period.
